Founder
Stephanie J. Brinkley is the founder of Influencing Law, a legal and business development firm serving creatives, entrepreneurs, and professionals in the hospitality and live events space. Born in New York City and raised in Kissimmee (BVL), she proudly represents both communities. Inspired early by Clair Huxtable, whose confidence and brilliance showed her what was possible, Stephanie turned that vision into a purpose-driven legal career rooted in advocacy, access, and empowerment.
Her academic journey began in Kissimmee schools before dual enrolling at Valencia College and earning her degree from the University of Miami, where she double majored in Public Relations and International Studies with minors in Music Business and Marketing. She later received her Juris Doctor from Pace University’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law, where she developed a passion for contracts and practical, client-focused legal work, while staying closely connected to her New York roots and frequently returning to Brooklyn for family and community.
Through Influencing Law, Stephanie champions “lawyering without ego.” She believes modern business owners deserve attorneys who speak plainly, understand strategy, and actively contribute to their clients’ growth. Her work focuses on expanding access to corporate legal guidance for underserved communities, helping clients build, protect, and scale businesses with confidence and long-term vision while fostering collaboration and shared opportunity among those she serves.
Based in Apopka, Stephanie is deeply invested in Central Florida’s growth. She is a proud mother, advocate for the ASD community, and descendant of Guyanese immigrants. Outside of work, she enjoys Cuban coffee, beach days, and live events, often attending gatherings at the Apopka Amphitheater or supporting local Caribbean restaurants, while mentoring students and supporting nonprofits across the region.
