Raised in Southern California, Shannon Snedaker discovered the importance of advocacy long before entering a courtroom. Her brother lived with a disability and was often bullied, an experience that affected their entire family and shaped her determination to stand up for people who feel overlooked or powerless. Today, that purpose remains central to her work as founder and managing partner of Snedaker Law.
Central Florida has been home since Snedaker moved to the area at 23 to attend law school. After earning her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and her law degree from Barry University, she built her career and family here. Her approach to life is guided by two mantras: “Why not me?” and “Lean in”—words that reflect her willingness to embrace opportunities, take chances and step forward, even when the path is unfamiliar.
For Shannon, success is measured by whether people feel heard, supported and genuinely cared for. She brings that same authenticity to her leadership, encouraging colleagues and young attorneys to trust their instincts and develop their own style rather than conforming to traditional expectations.
Her commitment extends beyond the firm. Snedaker supports the Seminole County Florida Association for Women Lawyers, mentors aspiring and emerging attorneys, and champions initiatives that strengthen Central Florida’s legal community.
She is also developing The Trauma Attorney, an educational and consulting platform that helps attorneys understand how trauma affects communication, memory and testimony. Her vision includes expanding its educational offerings, growing its podcast and ultimately publishing a book.
Outside the office, family remains at the center of Snedaker’s life. She and her husband are raising six children in their blended “Brady Bunch” family, alongside their beloved pets that have included dogs, turtles and even a pig. A former dance major with an unmistakable sense of individuality, Snedaker brings energy, compassion and purpose to everything she does—always guided by the belief that when an opportunity arises to make a difference, “Lean in”.
