Obstetrician/Gynecologist
Raised on a farm in the small rural town of Potosi, Missouri, Dr. Rita Ellen Eye developed an early understanding of life, loss, and reproductive health that would ultimately shape her future in medicine. Surrounded by the realities of farm life, her fascination with biology and women’s health began at a young age and steadily grew into a calling. Today, as a respected Obstetrician and Gynecologist in Central Florida, Dr. Eye is known for delivering compassionate, comprehensive care while building meaningful relationships with her patients.
A lifelong high achiever, Dr. Eye graduated as Valedictorian before earning her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Missouri University of Science and Technology. She went on to attend medical school at the University of Missouri and later completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Oklahoma, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident during her final year. Following residency, she practiced for four years in rural South Texas, gaining invaluable experience caring for women in underserved communities.
In 2014, Dr. Eye relocated to Orlando while expecting her daughter, Faith, choosing Central Florida as the ideal place to grow both her family and her practice. At Premier OB-Gyn, she has cultivated a culture centered on compassionate, down-to-earth care while remaining at the forefront of advancements in women’s health. For Dr. Eye, success means waking up every day with purpose and using her skills to alleviate suffering while helping bring new life into the world.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Eye cherishes time with her husband, Chet, and their daughter. Whether traveling, playing piano, cheering on Faith at theater performances and volleyball games, or volunteering as a gynecologic surgeon in Bolivia, she approaches every aspect of life with heart, purpose, and gratitude.
