Dr. Joseph L. Torres, MD, completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Nebraska before relocating to Central Florida over three decades ago. There, he founded Florida Sports & Family Health Centers, a practice dedicated to comprehensive care for athletes and families. Under his leadership, the practice has grown significantly, expanding in both providers and locations across Central Florida.
Dr. Torres has also held prominent roles, including Chief of Staff at Osceola Regional Hospital and Florida Hospital Kissimmee (now AdventHealth Kissimmee). Additionally, he has served as Chairman of the Departments of Family Medicine and as a team physician for renowned sports teams, including the Atlanta Braves, Detroit Tigers, and Orlando Predators.
Dr. Torres remains committed to delivering exceptional care and fostering the well-being of his patients and their families.
Dr. Roberto Corvo-Bequer is an internal medicine physician with eight years of clinical experience, dedicated to delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care to diverse patient populations. He earned his medical degree from St. Matthew’s University in the Cayman Islands, where he cultivated a strong foundation in global and community health. Dr. Bequer completed his residency training in internal medicine at the University of South Florida, Brandon Regional Hospital, gaining extensive experience in managing complex acute and chronic conditions. His professional interests include preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and optimizing patient education to empower individuals in their health decisions.
