Orlando Health, Physician Associates of Maitland Pediatrics
Dr. Jennifer Sharp Thielhelm is honored to receive this award. Dr. Thielhelm has been practicing pediatrics in Central Florida for the last thirty-two years with Orlando Health Physician Associates in Maitland. She tells everyone God has blessed her with an amazing, caring, and talented team of office staff, partners, and nurses, as well as a supportive family. She is also grateful for the trust of her patients and their families.
Dr. Thielhelm is a home-grown Central Floridian who has lived in this area since 10 months of age. She received her BS from Duke University and then attended medical school at the University of Florida. She completed her pediatric residency at Arnold Palmer Hospital, serving as Co-Chief Resident during her third year.
She and her team are dedicated to caring for children from newborns to young adults in a thorough and compassionate manner. “We try to treat all patients and their families as if they were part of our family.”
Dr. Thielhelm enjoys teaching and giving back to the next generation of doctors. She is on the clinical staff for UF Medical School, an assistant professor for FSU Medical School, and a member of the community faculty for the Arnold Palmer Hospital Pediatric Residency Program.
Dr. Thielhelm also enjoys giving back to the local community. She is an elder in her church and a board member of the Clive Foundation, her family’s foundation. She serves as a trustee on the Lake Highland Preparatory School Board. She is a board member for The Gift of Swimming, the Central Florida Pediatric Society, and the UF College of Medicine Alumni.
She loves spending free time with family, friends, and her three dogs. She and her husband, Rob, are proud parents of two children who are pursuing careers in medicine.
