For over thirty years, Jim Hattaway has been a respected presence in Central Florida’s legal and real estate communities—recognized for his service and love of community.
As an attorney, he has most enjoyed advocating for his clients’ property rights before various local governments. On the real estate side, he is the president of Hattaway Realty, Seminole County’s oldest real estate brokerage.
Born and raised in Central Florida in one of the area’s oldest families, Jim attended UCF and is an avid fan and longtime season ticket holder. His love of our community showed when he moved back here the day he graduated from law school.
Jim’s service to the community has been broad and longstanding. He currently chairs Seminole County’s Board of Adjustment and the Development Advisory Board. As a two-time cancer survivor, he has turned difficulty into drive, supporting local cancer-related organizations and causes. He chaired the Florida Hospital (now AdventHealth) Cancer Institute Foundation Board and the Osceola County branch of the American Cancer Society.
Jenna Hattaway is a highly respected professional with more than 30 years of combined experience in education and insurance. A proud University of Florida graduate, Jenna started her career as an educator before retiring from Lake Highland Preparatory School. Now in her second career as an agent for New York Life, she has built a practice meeting her clients’ financial planning and life insurance needs. Jenna also brings her extensive professional experience and community knowledge to the family’s real estate business.
For Jim and Jenna, their greatest source of happiness is their family. They are quick to share that their favorite role is being parents to their three grown children, Anna, Lauren, and Kit. Jim and Jenna are grateful for the opportunity to be honorees in Orlando Style Magazine’s Men & Women of the Year.
