Dermatologist
Born in Chicago and raised in its surrounding suburbs, Dr. Timothy Nyckowski developed an early fascination with dermatology through the way skin can reveal deeper stories about a person’s health. That curiosity ultimately evolved into a career dedicated to helping patients feel healthier, more confident, and better understood. Today, as a double board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon serving the Orlando area, Dr. Nyckowski combines advanced medical expertise with an approachable, patient-centered philosophy.
Dr. Nyckowski began his academic journey at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he majored in Psychology before making a late but decisive transition into medicine. He earned top honors at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed his internship at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and later served as Chief Resident during his dermatology residency through Kansas City University. He went on to achieve dual board certification in both dermatology and micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology through the American Board of Dermatology.
Motivated by Florida’s high incidence of skin cancer, Dr. Nyckowski chose Central Florida as the ideal place to provide high-quality care while raising a family. His practice focuses on bridging the gap between “the skin people have and the skin people want,” offering cutting-edge medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology in an efficient, results-driven environment. For Dr. Nyckowski, success is measured by the trust he earns through consistency, adaptability, and excellent outcomes.
Outside the office, he enjoys cooking, hosting dinner parties, traveling with his wife and one-year-old daughter, and staying active through fitness and golf. A surprising talent? He speaks five languages with varying degrees of fluency. Looking ahead, Dr. Nyckowski is excited to expand into innovative cosmetic surgical procedures while continuing to mentor future physicians and give back through charitable medical work across Central Florida.
