Dr. Patrick P. Gonzales is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine. He completed his General Practice Residency at the United States Naval Regional Medical Center at Subic Bay, R.P., and his Family Medicine Residency at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, New Jersey, serving as Chief Resident of both programs.

Dr. Gonzales has been practicing at Southwest Orlando Family Medicine, P.L. since its inception in 1989; and for several years in a row, Dr. Gonzales has had the honor of being voted by his peer physicians as one of the “Best Family Physicians” in Orlando.

Celebrating 30 years under the supervision of Dr. Gonzales, Southwest Orlando Family Medicine is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive and confidential health care services. Treating everyone from 6-year-olds to seniors, the practice has a clinical staff of 13 board-certified physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners, along with a support staff numbering more than 75. The goal of the practice, led by Dr. Gonzales, is to make medical care more accessible to the community by providing same-day appointments, Saturday office hours, and an always-available on-call clinician.

Southwest Orlando Family Medicine is a certified Patient-Centered Medical Home, recognized for providing and coordinating comprehensive and readily accessible patient care. Located within walking distance of Dr. Phillips Hospital, the family practice offers the full range of patient services, including but not limited to allergy screenings, immunizations, dermatology services, ultrasounds, well-woman care, and school and complete physical exams.

Southwest Orlando Family Medicine has been recognized by multiple local and national awards, including recognition as a Million Hearts® Hypertension Control Champion from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, one of only 24 practices nationwide to be awarded this prestigious accolade.

A native of the Philippines, Dr. Gonzales is in partnership with The Anawim Inc., a Catholic charity founded to serve the poor and underprivileged in his homeland. Anawim provides for the basic needs and holistic development of impoverished children in Camarines Sur, Philippines. “We’re here to serve our community, and we’re here to serve others,” says Dr. Gonzales.
