Orlando's Attorneys of the Year 2026
Denis Quintana

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Denis Quintana was raised in a family shaped by his parents’ decision to immigrate to America from Cuba in anticipation of Fidel Castro’s arrival in Havana. Their sacrifices and appreciation for America’s system of individual rights profoundly influenced Denis and ultimately inspired his commitment to protecting those principles. His family relocated to Orlando in 1971, drawn by the emerging excitement of the space program, the arrival of Walt Disney World, and Florida’s warmer climate. More than five decades later, Orlando remains the city he calls home.

Denis graduated from St. Charles Elementary and Bishop Moore High School before earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami and law degree from Nova University. Grounded in the values of faith, family, and lasting relationships, he built his career around a fundamental belief in individual liberty. As the Founder of Sensei Criminal Defense, Denis advocates for individuals facing criminal prosecution and works to protect constitutional rights against government overreach. His professional philosophy is rooted in the conviction that liberty and democracy require continual protection and participation.

For Denis, success is a dynamic journey rather than a fixed destination. He believes that pursuing goals in a manner consistent with one’s values—and adapting when life takes an unexpected turn—is itself a measure of success. His approach to his clients and family is similarly grounded in problem-solving, perseverance, and service. He believes advocacy should always be accompanied by kindness, courtesy, and consideration, values he brings to every professional relationship.

Outside the office, Denis treasures time with his wife, children, extended family, and lifelong friends. He enjoys live music, theatrical performances, comedy, lectures, and Florida’s beaches, and looks forward to traveling more with his wife as they continue discovering new experiences together. A lifelong lover of music, Denis once toured seven European countries with the American Musical Ambassadors Orchestra as a trumpet player. He has also completed a professional gelato-making program. As his firm continues evolving through AI, social media, and his podcasting work, Denis remains focused on growing his practice, supporting his family, and protecting the liberties that first inspired his career.
