In practice for 29 years and under the supervision of Patrick Gonzales, M.D., Southwest Orlando Family Medicine is dedicated to developing a long association of mutual trust and understanding while providing compassionate, comprehensive and confidential health care services. Treating everyone from 6-year-olds to seniors, the practice has a clinical staff of 13 board-certified physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners, along with a support staff numbering more than 75. The goal of the practice is to make medical care more accessible to the community by providing same-day appointments, Saturday office hours, and an always-available on-call clinician.

Southwest Orlando Family Medicine is a certified Patient-Centered Medical Home, recognized for providing and coordinating comprehensive and readily accessible patient care. The family practice also offers the full range of patient services, including but not limited to allergy screenings, blood pressure monitoring, immunizations, dermatology services, ultrasounds, well-woman care, and school and complete physical exams.

Located within walking distance of Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, the clinicians at Southwest Orlando Family Medicine develop long-term relationships and a thorough understanding of the lifestyle of each patient in order to provide superior, comprehensive care.

A native of the Philippines, Dr. Gonzales is in partnership with The Anawim Inc., a Catholic charity founded to serve the poor and underprivileged in his homeland. Anawim provides for the basic needs and holistic development of impoverished children in Camarines Sur, Philippines. Liza Gonzales, practice administrator, expressed her thoughts on how she feels about the practice, “We genuinely care for each other, for our patients, and for our community and do our best to give them the best care possible. This is the mission of Southwest Orlando Family Medicine.” This quote by an unknown author exemplifies what the practice strives to be: “We remember to live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and leave the rest to God.”
