A Champion for Access to Justice, Attorney Johnson is the Founder and Managing Attorney of The Johnson Firm, PA and has been representing clients in the areas of Family Law (Specializing in Father’s Rights), Bankruptcy, Probate, Real Estate and Business Law for over a decade. Rosalind has an incredible heart for giving to and empowering those in need. Attorney Johnson is a US Army Veteran having served on active duty as both a Military Police Officer and a Paralegal in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps. After attending Kansas State University where she majored in Sociology and Criminology, Rosalind earned her law degree from Florida State University College of Law where she received the Virgil Hawkins Memorial Fellowship (a full scholarship).
As a former General Magistrate, Attorney Johnson has distinguished herself both personally and professionally. She was selected into Class IV of the highly competitive and prestigious Florida Bar Wm. Reece Smith, Jr Leadership Academy, and is an active member of the Orange County Bar Association where she serves as Co-Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
Although she is a busy attorney, mother of nine, and grandmother of four, she still finds time to devote to giving back to the community. Attorney Johnson has a history of helping people through difficult times and knows how to see the best in any given circumstance. Her giving nature has made her a catalyst for change in the community and with the people whom she engages. She has spent the last decade serving those who are traditionally underserved and overlooked. These qualities have trickled over into her law practice as she works to ensure that everyone has access to legal services. To that end, she is the founder of The Legal LABB (fka The Justice LABB) a nonprofit organization that provides legal education and resources for low to moderate income residents of the community which starting in Fall 2017 will host the “Lawyer LABB” a solo and small firm incubator for new attorneys.
In 2008, Rosalind founded BIG SIS, Inc a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the empowerment and promotion of self-sufficiency in women which includes a local food pantry and transitional housing program. Attorney Johnson started this organization because she has overcome many obstacles in her life. She was a single mother who had her first child at the age of 15, but because of her strong will and perseverance, she was able to graduate high school in 3 years and go on to complete law school in 2 ½ years with four children. Due to her strong faith and determination to succeed, she was able to accomplish these things without any positive role models or family support system. Attorney Johnson faced a lot of obstacles and barriers to get where she is today and wants to inspire young women to work toward their goals in life.
