Family & Marital Law

Rebecca L. Palmer is a Family & Marital Law attorney practicing in Orlando, Florida. Rebecca has a broad background in providing intimate legal advice to those in need at a major time of change in their life. When she began her practice 23 years ago she did so to be in the courtroom for litigation. Then she learned while litigation is sometimes necessary, often the best route is to use skilled negotiation techniques. Rebecca is passionate about alternative dispute resolution and collaborative law for domestic disputes. That said, she also knows when it is time to go to court.

The complexities and emotional rollercoaster that tend to ensue during a family law case has led Rebecca to create an environment for her clients that provides them ease and comfort during this difficult time. As one client stated, “Rebecca is REAL, she is truly compassionate, and she is a master at divorce law.” Statements such as these are why Rebecca has been named a Super Lawyer for the past five years and is a master in the craft of mediation. She is devoted to her client’s cases, evoking trust from her clients and colleagues and most importantly, the well-being of all parties involved in each case she takes part. Her life and law experience truly substantiates the ‘Rebecca L. Palmer Law Group’ motto, #HereForYou.

Rebecca’s cases range from challenging divorces, mediations, paternity, adoptions, and custody cases. Rebecca is a Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator and brings experience in all methods of case resolution, including mediation, arbitration, facilitation and negotiations to serve individuals as well as businesses. She has extensive experience with complex financial issues and issues pertaining to minor children. Rebecca has handled dividing celebrity assets with an eye to the family behind the news, and was on the legal team representing Elin Nordegren in her divorce from Tiger Woods.

Rebecca also loves her community. She believes that it is important to be immersed in the culture of Orlando and in the Central Florida Community. Rebecca has been President of the Central Florida Association of Women Lawyers, President of the Orlando Young Professionals, an adjunct professor in the areas of Legal Ethics, Business Law, Trial Techniques and Family Law at Stetson University, Barry University, Southern College, and the University of Central Florida. Rebecca also taught for several years at Emory University for the trial advocacy program. Her dedication to the schools in her community has her currently presiding on the board for the Howard Middle School Foundation and taking an active part in fundraising for continuing programs that directly benefit all students of this Performing Arts Magnet school. Rebecca is also a published author and speaker, and appears frequently on Fox 35 News Orlando.
