Family Law Attorney & Florida Supreme Court Family Law Mediator The MGR Law Firm, PLLC

Attorney Marivette Gonzalez was born in Puerto Rico and as one of Jorge’s and Blanca’s seven children she believes in family above all else.  Her passion to help families thrive and succeed, no matter their unique circumstances, is the reason she opened The Law Office of Marivette Gonzalez, PLLC in 2011, now known as the THE MGR LAW FIRM, PLLC.

Ms. Gonzalez’s own personal experiences have significantly contributed to her appreciation that each case she takes on is unique and needs to be handled with its very own customized approach. Her goal is to obtain justice for those who trust in her advocacy. She is passionate about helping people through difficult and sensitive family matters.

Ms. Gonzalez received her Bachelor’s from Rutgers University and became a Senior/High Risk Probation Officer for Seminole County.  She attended Florida A&M University, College of Law and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2009.

As a single mother of two children she found the strength and courage to fight the odds. She took a leap of faith and believed that the challenges she faced would make her stronger and a fighter.  She managed to successfully attend law school at night.  Her accomplishment was achieved through her dedication, passion, and her fighting spirit, which are the same pillars she meets for each of her family law clients.

Ms. Gonzalez is an experienced trial lawyer who has handled many complex family law matters related to time-sharing (custody & visitation), child support, divorce, alimony, and all family issues.  She represents both men and women and married and unmarried parents.  Ms. Gonzalez has given many family law presentations to numerous community groups and is a regular presenter at the National Teen and Young Fatherhood Conference focusing on fathers’ rights.

She provides leadership and supports the economic development of the Orlando business community by serving as a Director on the Board of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando. Her commitment to the community was noticed in 2016, when Vision Magazine and City of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer recognized her one of the 25 most influential Hispanics in Central Florida.

Ms. Gonzalez, her husband Felix Rivera, and their children: William, Alexis, and Eleina are a blended family who support all families. It is because of them that Ms. Gonzalez continues to be her own advocate in life and would be honored to be an advocate for your family.
