Dr. Ly T. Nguyen is redefining excellence in ophthalmology throughout Central Florida, combining masterful surgical expertise, forward-thinking entrepreneurship, and deeply compassionate, patient-focused care.
Born in Vietnam and raised in the U.S. after immigrating as a child, Dr. Nguyen’s journey of perseverance has shaped her into a physician who deeply understands the impact of restored vision. She graduated from Brown University, earned her medical degree from the University of Hawai’i John A. Burns School of Medicine, and completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Colorado Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Institute.
As Founder and CEO of Eye Florida, a premier boutique practice in Greater Orlando, Dr. Nguyen has dedicated over two decades to transforming lives through advanced cataract surgery, glaucoma management, and comprehensive eye care. Her practice combines state-of-the-art technology with individualized treatment, bringing renewed clarity to thousands of patients. Patients come from across the United States and internationally, including Asia, India, Europe, South America, the Caribbean, and Guam—many referred by family members whose vision she has restored.
Recognized among America’s Top Ophthalmologists, Dr. Nguyen has earned the Patient’s Choice Award and Compassionate Doctor Recognition. In 2025, KNOW Magazine named her one of the Top 50 Women to KNOW in Florida for her medical excellence and mentorship of women in leadership.
Beyond the clinic, she founded OCULUX Natural Supplements, a science-based line for long-term eye health, and RISESMD, a remote imaging initiative helping primary care providers improve diabetic eye exams and meet HEDIS metrics.
Outside work, Dr. Nguyen treasures time with family and her two beloved dogs, traveling, reading, and playing pickleball with her Wednesday Ladies Group. Passionate about mentoring, she shares: “To be successful, you first have to know what you want and make that your number one priority.”
