Area Doctor/Optometrist
Dr. Johnny P. Morette is an accomplished Area Doctor and Optometrist providing clinical and operational leadership across the Greater Orlando–Central Florida region, including Winter Garden. Born and raised in Boynton Beach, Florida, his passion for optometry was sparked when a visit to an optometrist transformed his once-blurry world into sharp focus.
He graduated from the University of Florida in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Sciences on the Pre-Health Track, earning induction into the Florida Blue Key and UF Leadership SAVANT Honor Societies. At Nova Southeastern University, he earned a second Bachelor of Science in Vision Science and his Doctor of Optometry in 2012. As President of the National Optometric Student Association, he helped guide the group to the STUEY Award for Top Graduate Organization.
As Area Doctor for Gulfview Vision Associates in partnership with National Vision and America’s Best Contacts & Eyeglasses, Dr. Morette delivers comprehensive patient care while overseeing a team of 25–30 optometrists. He manages recruitment, training, and mentorship to uphold high standards across ocular conditions. Guided by the motto “every vision deserves better,” he is dedicated to accessible, high-quality eye care.
Dr. Morette defines success as being a present leader who supports his team and ensures excellent patient outcomes. He gives back through community vision screenings and involvement with the Delta Xi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Outside work, he cherishes mornings with his wife and newborn daughter followed by a workout. Evenings include family dinners, exploring restaurants and farmers markets, traveling, and watching sports. He is also teaching himself piano while learning Portuguese. Faith and family remain his greatest inspiration.
