Founder/Florida Injury Law Firm

Johnny Pineyro returned from Pennsylvania and moved to Florida where he began practicing law twenty years ago. He quickly gained valuable courtroom experience and skills, and realized his professional calling: to represent the injured. Ten years ago, he started his own personal injury law firm. Today, Johnny’s firm, Florida Injury Law Firm, has expanded to a staff of ten dedicated professionals, including three full-time lawyers with over 100 years of combined experience and over $100,000,000 in settlements and verdicts.

Johnny represents clients in civil litigation cases, primarily against corporations. He vigorously represents those who are unable to fight for themselves because of the economics surrounding the prosecution of catastrophic injury cases in this country. Johnny is a member of The Florida Bar, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the Middle District of Florida, as well as the District of Colorado.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Johnny is a pilot, author, tennis player, and active member of his local church and community. He serves as a board member to “Angel Flight,” a group that enriches the lives of children with disabilities through aviation. He also dedicates countless hours to “Big Brothers and Big Sisters” and the “Make-A-Wish Foundation,” fulfilling the words of one of his favorite quotes (spoken by W. Churchill): You make a living by what you get, but a life by what you give.” Johnny and his wife, Amy, and their twin daughters, Kaiya and Camilla, live in Golden Oak, Florida.

We recently had the opportunity to sit down with Johnny to discuss a range of topics, including his advice on selecting the right attorney:

Q: To what do you attribute your success in law?

A: I think it starts with a warrior spirit. When I take on a case, I become engaged in a very real battle for justice against the other side. I am my client’s advocate, their voice in a time of need. One of my strengths is the ability to think many steps ahead, while staying focused on the here and now. This is the result of hundreds and hundreds of cases, over many, many years.

Q: You mentioned “hundreds of cases.” How much do you rely on your experience?

A: A great deal. Experience is everything, especially in complex cases. When you’re choosing on attorney, ask how many years he or she has been practicing.

Q: What kinds of cases do you handle?

A: Personal injury and wrongful death cases. I have also handled aviation-related cases over the years.

Q: I know you’re on aviator. How has that helped what you do?

A: Well, it has helped in many ways. First, it has provided another way for me to give back. Secondly, aviation, like law, requires precision, skill and focus. It keeps me sharp.

Q: Can you talk about your philanthropic work?

A: Of course. As you know, Angel Flight is very important to me. I support a growing number of other local and national charities, both with my time and resources. I recently started the Pineyro Education Foundation, which offers scholarship programs to underserved children in Florida.

Q: “Get The Justice You Deserve” was published in 2011. What was your inspiration?

A: I wanted to provide the general public with a practical guide to personal injury law. Many people don’t understand the basics or they have a misunderstanding of the basics. Mass consumer advertising by attorneys is partially to blame for creating these misunderstandings. We pride ourselves on being professional and above the fray.
