Most people don’t need more clothes. They need a better way to see the ones they already own. That’s the idea behind Parure La Plee, a personal styling app launching September 29, built by Orlando native Anne Harrison around a simple belief: the wardrobe you already own has more range than you think.
The name itself is the first clue. Parure is French for a complete, coordinated set: clothing, jewelry, and accessories styled as one harmonious look. The app is built to help someone find that same harmony in a closet they already own.
It starts with colour. Using a proprietary analysis technology, Parure La Plee reads a single selfie and places each user into a seasonal colour profile (Warm Autumn, True Winter, and others), the same framework professional colour analysts use. From there, every piece in a user’s digital wardrobe is tagged to that profile, so it’s clear at a glance what works and what doesn’t.
The app then builds complete looks from pieces a user already owns, styled for more than 45 real-life occasions (brunch, date night, work, weddings) and generates an outfit preview for each one. It also factors in the day’s actual weather, so a recommendation accounts for temperature and conditions, not just the calendar date.
“My closet is a testament to my love for fashion and telling a story with the clothes I wear. I couldn’t understand why I felt like I had nothing to wear while looking at the wardrobe I’ve spent years building. That’s when I thought of Parure La Plee. I wanted to create the answer to a common problem that a lot of us are faced with daily,” says Harrison.
In a time filled with constant consumption, the app encourages mindfulness with features like gap detection, only recommending pieces that are missing from a user’s digital wardrobe. The feature list also includes an alternative option for those items that need to be transitioned out of the closet. When a piece genuinely doesn’t fit anymore, the app’s marketplace lets users list pieces for app users to shop first, giving clothes a second life instead of a landfill. Recent consumer research from Statista found that 40 percent of Americans admit to buying clothes they never end up wearing, and Parure La Plee is built to close that gap before suggesting anything new.
The philosophy driving all of it is summed up in the company’s own words: “Your wardrobe, styled with intention,” and the idea is that it’s usually already in the closet.
The app will be free to download on both the App Store and Google Play when it launches September 29, with a free tier covering the core wardrobe and colour profile experience. A Premium tier, $12.99 a month or $119 annually, unlocks the full styling and outfit generation experience.
Founding Members who join the waitlist now at parure.app get 20 percent off their first 12 months of Premium, claimable within 30 days of the September 29 launch.
