Attorney Patricia Sigman is a Florida Board Certified Labor & Employment Lawyer who advises and represents executives, professionals, and employees throughout Florida in employment matters involving employment contracts, executive compensation, non-competition agreements, severance agreements, whistleblower retaliation, discrimination, sexual harassment, and other aspects of the employer-employee relationship. Ms. Sigman believes that each employment matter requires a strategic approach tailored to the client’s individual goals and circumstances.
Ms. Sigman graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1989 before earning her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law, where she graduated in 1992 ranked #1 in her law school class. She began her legal career at Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed in Orlando. In 1993, Ms. Sigman and her husband Phillip founded their law firm, Sigman & Sigman, P.A. The firm is a boutique employment law firm in Altamonte Springs.
With over 33 years of experience, Ms. Sigman has been recognized by Best Lawyers® as the 2016, 2018, 2021, 2024 and 2026 Employment Law – Individuals “Lawyer of the Year” award winner in Orlando. Ms. Sigman is also rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell® and has been named in SuperLawyers® every year from 2006 to 2026.
Beyond her law practice, Ms. Sigman has served the legal profession through her service on the Florida Bar’s Labor & Employment Law Certification Committee 2018-2024, including serving as the Committee’s Chair 2022-2023. Ms. Sigman is also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator who enjoys helping other attorneys and their clients to resolve complex employment law disputes.
