For over three decades, Associates in Dermatology has been a trusted leader in general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology throughout Central Florida. With 13 locations across six counties, the practice provides comprehensive skin cancer care and skincare services to patients of all ages.
Leading the practice is Dr. Steppie, president, medical director, and an accomplished Mohs micrographic surgeon recognized for his expertise in skin cancer treatment and dedication to dermatologic research. His work and insights have been featured in numerous publications, including the Skin Cancer Foundation Journal and Men’s Health Magazine to name a few. “I have seen firsthand the effects of sun damage on the skin,” says Dr. Steppie. “That is why I’m passionate about educating people on how to protect themselves from harmful UV rays, especially here in sunny Florida.”
Community outreach remains a cornerstone of the practice’s mission. Last June, he volunteered once again and assisted the Skin Cancer Foundation’s Destination Healthy Skin Mobile RV during their Orlando stop. Dr. Steppie was assisted by four of his providers to perform free skin cancer screenings during the entire day.
During an interview with Channel 9, Dr. Steppie shared guidance on identifying potential signs of skin cancer and encouraged individuals to schedule annual skin examinations with a dermatologist.“My focus is on promoting a healthy lifestyle, raising awareness, and emphasizing prevention” he says. “Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States, and early detection saves lives.”
In addition to life-saving procedures such as Mohs surgery, Associates in Dermatology offers routine dermatologic care, cosmetic treatments including Botox and fillers, and select paramedical services such as chemical peels, acne treatments, and microneedling. The practice also treats disorders of the hair and nails and accepts most major insurance plans.
