Florida Otolaryngology Group
Dr. Mark Steehler is a board-certified otolaryngologist at the Florida Otolaryngology Group.
He was born in Erie, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Allegheny College, serving as team captain of the men’s swimming and diving team in 2007. He attended medical school at A.T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011, where he served as a member of the Sigma Sigma Phi Honors fraternity. He earned a Master of Science in Medical Education in 2014 at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he also completed his residency in otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery in 2016, serving as chief resident.
Dr. Steehler is the vice president of the Department of Otolaryngology at Orlando Health. He serves as a clinical assistant professor at Orlando College of Osteopathic Medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Steehler joined the Florida Otolaryngology Group in 2018. As a general otolaryngologist, he specializes in all disorders of the ears, nose, and throat.
His particular interests include nasal congestion, sinusitis, hearing loss, and hoarseness.
His procedures include balloon sinuplasty, septoplasty, turbinoplasty, sinus surgery, eustachian tube balloon dilation, Vivaer, Rhinaer, vocal cord surgery, and ear tubes.
He has received training on tonsillectomy with COBLATION technology and is the only otolaryngologist in Central Florida to openly offer coblation intracapsular tonsillectomy, per mytonsils.com, the official website of coblation tonsillectomy.
He also dispenses hearing aids as well as administers allergy testing and allergy immunotherapy.
Dr. Steehler’s favorite hobbies include spending his free time with his wife and four young children. He is a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Orlando Magic.
