As a double board-certified plastic surgeon and obesity medicine specialist, Dr. Fernando Ovalle Jr. is redefining personalized and comprehensive care in the aesthetic space. After completing undergraduate studies at Rice University with honors, Dr. Ovalle earned his medical degree at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine as a Dean’s Merit Scholar, followed by a selective integrated plastic surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati, where he served as Chief Resident and received multiple academic awards. He is board certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Obesity Medicine, having completed additional subspecialty training in obesity medicine through Columbia University. This rare dual expertise allows him to uniquely combine evidence-based medical weight management with advanced surgical techniques to provide comprehensive and sustainable results.
Dr. Ovalle offers a range of aesthetic services and is one of the few plastic surgeons in Central Florida with expertise in QuantumRF, a minimally invasive technology performed under local anesthesia that delivers over 30% fat reduction and skin tightening—with no scalpel, no stitches, and virtually no downtime.
Committed to advancing aesthetics through research, Dr. Ovalle has also pursued advanced training in high-resolution ultrasound in plastic surgery to enhance precision and safety as well as completed a fellowship in applied epidemiology at the CDC. Dr. Ovalle’s accomplishments include multiple journal and book chapter publications and nationally presented medical research.
