For Dr. Douglas Gearity, caring for women has always meant looking at the whole picture.
As the founder and Medical Director of The Women’s Center of Orlando, Dr. Gearity has spent more than three decades building a practice around a simple idea: women should be able to receive comprehensive, high-quality healthcare without having to navigate multiple offices, providers, and appointments.
His vision was to create a true one-stop experience for women’s health. A place where patients could feel known, cared for, and confident that many of their healthcare needs could be addressed under one roof.
Today, that vision can be seen throughout The Women’s Center. Patients can come in for a routine well-woman visit and have access to services such as on-premises laboratory testing, mammography, ultrasounds, cancer screenings, obstetric and gynecologic care, and a variety of in-office procedures. By bringing these services together, the practice is designed to make taking care of your health simpler and more convenient.

For busy women, that convenience matters. Instead of scheduling a separate trip for a mammogram after an annual exam, eligible patients can coordinate both during the same visit. Instead of traveling elsewhere for testing or certain procedures, many services can be completed right within the practice.
But Dr. Gearity’s vision has never been about convenience alone.
At the heart of The Women’s Center is the belief that women deserve a healthcare experience that is both comprehensive and personal. From a young woman’s first gynecologic appointment through pregnancy, motherhood, midlife, menopause and beyond, the goal is to build relationships that can continue through every stage of life.
Dr. Gearity has also embraced advances in women’s healthcare while maintaining the personal connection that has defined his approach to medicine. The Women’s Center offers services ranging from preventive care and 3D mammography to minimally invasive procedures, infertility care, menopause management and other specialized women’s health services.

After decades of caring for women throughout Central Florida, Dr. Gearity continues to build upon the same philosophy that inspired The Women’s Center from the beginning: make exceptional women’s healthcare accessible, compassionate, and as seamless as possible.
