Summer Sips, keep them light, delicious and easy. With these recipes, you can check off all those boxes and be an entertaining superhero whether it’s a backyard barbecue or girls night under the stars.

First of all, keep it fresh and take advantage of the flavor cues of the season – ripe luscious watermelon, lemonade that’s the perfect balance between sweet and tart and lots of sparkling waters should be on your list. Look for cocktails that are scaleable – a single cocktail that can be scaled up to serve in a punch bowl al fresco comes in handy, especially as a signature cocktail for your event.

Think of wine too – not something overly dry or sweet but something that says summer. Sangria does that just right and can be as varied as the fruit you have on hand. Don’t be shy about adding peaches or chunks of honeydew to the citrus slices in your Sangria pitcher.

Another simple idea – select a signature spirit such as tequila, rum or vodka and set out an array of juices and mixers –go from tropical like Mango to sophisticated tonics. These summer sips will definitely be a hit at any event!
