Just a hop, skip, and a jump away!

Located just 10 minutes from Walt Disney World Resort and 20 minutes from Universal Studios, the Omni Orlando resort is a treat of a retreat nestled near enough to all of the touristy hustle and bustle for easy access, but off in the distance enough for guests to enjoy their own more relaxed, secluded vacation without having to spend the big bucks.

The beautiful resort, embedded with accents of luxury and a staff that greets you with warm smiles, caters to both the needs and desires of adults and children alike.

omni-aerial recreation areaWith an 850-foot lazy river that gently swifts and pulls you along a winding channel between two large swimming pools, Croc’s, the outdoor pool bar and grill for the adults to grab a refreshing drink and snack, and a beautiful 36-hole golf range traced with a cemented trail that guests can jog along, the Omni Orlando is decorated inside and outside with activities to do. And if you spend the evening at the resort, be sure to grab a s’mores kit before you circle the generous-sized fire pit outside. It’s a fun, inexpensive activity that is sure to leave you and your loved ones with a sticky smile on your face.

If those amenities don’t suit your fancy, there’s no need to step outside in search of an activity more suitable for you. Located to the left as you enter the grand entryway, guests will find a simplistic lobby bar that is sometimes accompanied by musical entertainment. A couple steps further, guests’ noses will be greeted by the smells of delicious Asian cuisine at the ZEN restaurant, as well as American dishes from David’s Club, an upscale sports bar with televisions broadcasting the latest games, dark wood decor and dim lighting providing a sophisticated aura. If you’re in the mood for a burger and a beer while your favorite football team is playing, you’ve found a good place. If you want a real wine-and-dine experience, treat yourself to David’s Club’s delectable filet mignon or cajun shrimp boil — you won’t regret it.

Bon Appetite For All

Those are just two of the eight appetizing food locations on property. Other fine dining options include Trevi’s that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving meals created with an array of fresh fruits, vegetables and breads laced with hints of Italian flavors. If guests have specific requests and needs due to allergies, religious reasons, etc., chefs and staff at the Omni dining locations are more than willing to cater to your needs so you can continue to relax on your vacation.omni-Firepit dusk

Michael Woods, manager of Trevi’s, explained that the servers keep a direct line of communication with the chefs, and before the meals are prepared, chefs will come to the table to discuss the ingredients and preparation process of the meal.

If you visit Trevi’s, a must-try is the homemade salsa made daily with fresh ingredients prepared by Allie Rivera, a cook who creates personal omelettes for morning guests. Rivera said over time she has modified and personalized the salsas offered to guests, providing four options for them to taste varying from sweet flavors to hints of hot flavors.

But Omni Orlando has more than great taste in food; it has great taste in overall decor and class, as well as above-satisfactory guest accommodation skills that help give guests a home-away-from-home feel. Sixteen stories tall, the Omni Orlando resort has 720 rooms and suites, as well as spacious three-bedroom villas. While some rooms have a beautiful golf-course view that overlooks the outdoor leisure activities and endless range, all of the rooms are checked on and tidied up throughout the day. And if you want your four-legged companion to join you during your resort stay, there is a 50-pound limit and a $175 deposit requirement, but the second floor of the resort is designated to those who’d like their furry friends to tag along.

If that doesn’t help you relax a little knowing that this is a pet-friendly resort, wait until you check out Omni Orlando’s luxurious signature spa —Mokara.

Conveniently located next to Omni Orlando’s well-equipped gym, the Mokara Spa offers guests a getaway within a getaway — complete with men and women’s locker rooms that include amenities such as a steamy sauna, private jacuzzi area, relaxing sitting area, and unwinding spa services. Mokara’s services include massages, facials, hair care and nail care, great for mothers-to-be, bridal parties and couples retreats, as well as time to yourself. So stop by Mokara and treat yourself to a serene therapy session such as the rejuvenating hot stone massage, a service Mokara massage therapist Tony Montante said has multiple benefits for the body.

Montante said the goal is for everyone to have a great experience, and that’s exactly what Omni Orlando resort guest Sylvia Pineda attested having. From West Palm Beach, Pineda, her boyfriend and his 11-year-old son came to Omni Orlando for a weekend getaway. Instead of fighting the crowds at Universal with her boyfriend and his son, she said she decided to take a spa day at Mokara where she had a full body massage, body scrub and facial.omni-formal pool cabanas

“Everybody was very friendly, accommodating, nice, and overall my experience was excellent,” Pineda said. “The ambiance was tranquilizing and relaxing, and you get a lot for your buck.”

Pineda gave her overall experience five stars and said she appreciated how kid-friendly and family-oriented the resort is.

For those vacationers who’d like to leave the resort during the day, Omni Orlando offers free shuttle rides to the Walt Disney World Theme Parks (24-hour advance reservations are required). Other nearby attractions include SeaWorld Orlando, Universal Studios, Legoland, Harry P. Leu Gardens, Disney Springs and downtown Orlando. Additionally, there are nearby museums such as the Orlando Museum of Art and the Morse Museum of American Art. All of these attractions are conveniently less than 30 miles away from the resort.

Whether it’s a romantic getaway or a weekend family trip to Orlando, Omni Orlando provides a safe haven for your traveling needs without breaking the bank.
