Say so long to summer, ghouls and goblins across Orlando, get ready for a month full of spooky tricks and treats as we dive headfirst into October. But before we dust off our favorite costumes, let’s take a look back at the month of September, just in case you missed it!

The return of Epcot’s beloved International Food & Wine Festival means thousands are coming together to celebrate the diversity of food and wine from around the globe. This year, 35 kiosks are celebrating 35 years of Epcot with delicious classic and inventive delicacies. Attendees will also be able to sample offerings from celebrity chefs, go to live cooking demonstrations and enjoy live concerts. The spectacular celebration of global cuisines, mesmerizing music and more continues until November 13th, so don’t miss out on the fun!

On September 8th, Waldorf Astoria Orlando and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek kicked off the seventh annual Food & Wine Weekends. Designed to complement the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, Food & Wine Weekends features a mouthwatering menu of culinary events. Exceptional wine and culinary programming are presented over the course of nine weekends as a team of renowned chefs showcase their talents and provide guests with authentic, inspiring dishes. You still have until November 12th to join the celebration, so head on down to Waldorf Astoria Orlando and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek’s highly anticipated Food & Weekends.

If you’ve never been to 1st Thursdays, then you are missing out on “Orlando’s original art party”! September’s event was the 9th annual Eclectic Knights show and it comes to the museum as a result of their partnership with UCF’s College of Arts and Humanities and the School of Visual Art and Design. Sponsored by Sam Flax of Orlando and Publix Supermarkets, this “Knight of Art” celebrated original multimedia work by UCF alumni, faculty and students. Guests also had the opportunity to enjoy mouth watering food by Orchid Thai Cuisine, cash bars, cafe offerings, and live music, as well as the museum’s current exhibitions and collections.

On September 8th and 9th, Universal Orlando’s Rock the Universe – Florida’s biggest Christian music festival – returned for a weekend filled with faith and worship in an unforgettable atmosphere. Fans enjoyed live performances by more than 14 of Christian music’s most compelling artists in the heart of Universal Studios Florida. This year’s line-up featured Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter Chris Tomlin, two-time Grammy award-winning hip-hop artist Lecrae, and Casting Crowns, who have held the position of Billboard’s top-selling Christian music act since 2007.

From September 14th through September 17th, the Mall at Millenia rolled out the red carpet for their 12th Annual Fashion Week. This distinguished fashion event featured three runway shows filled with must-have trends for Fall 2017 and custom, in-store event shopping experiences at the Mall’s world-class boutiques. Fashion Week kicked off with the Fashion’s Night In reception and fashion show featuring best-in-class brands. Guests enjoyed drinks, bites, music, and in-store activities. After the show, attendees shopped their favorite looks to be show-ready for the weekend and upcoming season.

The Ultimate Craft Beer & Music Event returned on September 16th! Twice a year, House of Blues hosts 15 Florida craft breweries under one roof at Local Brews Local Grooves. Guests walked around the music hall, visited each beer station and chatted with the Brewery beer masters in attendance. During the event, attendees also enjoyed talented local bands and brewer interviews with a host on stage. The event even featured themed food stations offering a variety of tasty pub snacks.

Central Florida came together to celebrate Orlando’s art and culture at ARTlando 2017. Sponsored by the Orlando Museum of Art, ARTlando took over Loch Haven Park on September 30th for a day that was jam packed with Orlando’s most talented and creative visual artists. The free festival is Orlando’s largest live art competition and featured a performing arts stage, community-driven exhibits, a playful kids zone, food trucks and much more.

The I Am Brave Women’s Success Conference is a power packed one day event designed to develop and unify women by empowering them with a wealth of knowledge from a panel of influential women from our community. On September 30th, the one day conference took over the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts and gave attendees the latest information on business, leadership, branding, marketing, and strategic influence designed to leave women feeling empowered to impact their family, business and community!
