No. 1 Rising Star | Design/Construction Law and Product Liability
For many years, Attorney Frederick W. Mohre has helped his clients navigate complex commercial disputes with no-nonsense counsel, cost-effective prevention strategies and, when necessary, litigation and trial. Fred focuses his practice on design/engineering/construction law, product liability, and complex commercial litigation. He is enthusiastic, competitive, and takes great pride in counseling his clients on the legal nuances of each case, the economic realities of each situation, and creative risk management/loss shifting strategies.
Fred’s practice is diverse and includes cases involving design/construction defects, project delay claims, product liability, breaches of contract, and regulatory/licensure issues. He has extensive experience working with in-house and insurance counsel, and is not afraid to give his clients a realistic assessment of potential success, even if that assessment is not favorable. Attention to detail and diligent preparation allow him to be creative in his representation and provide opportunities for his clients to eliminate claims prior to the expense of trial. If necessary, he will take cases to trial with a seasoned litigation support team that will assist him in communicating his client’s story to the judge and jury.
Fred, a native Floridian, followed a non-traditional path to the practice of law. He worked for many years as a pediatric intensive care nurse and a legal/medical consultant prior to attending law school. Fred has two undergraduate degrees from the University of Central Florida and attended the University Of Maryland School Of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate.
Fred is a partner at Pearson Bitman LLP, a full service law firm based in Maitland, with several offices across Florida. His oldest son, Jordan, is a C-17 Loadmaster stationed at Travis Air Force Base. His daughter, Kiele, was appointed and currently attends the U.S. Air Force Academy. Conor enjoys soccer, tennis, and plays trumpet in his school’s concert band. His youngest, Colton, plays baseball and piano.
