Colon and Rectal Clinic of Orlando

Dr. Gallagher graduated from New Smyrna Beach High School. He attended Vanderbilt University where he graduated with a BE in both Biomedical and Electrical Engineering. He then attended the Chicago Medical School where he obtained a masters degree in Physiology and a Medical Doctorate. Dr. Gallagher completed a five year General Surgery Residency training program at the University of Florida. He then completed a fellowship in Colorectal Surgery at the Colon and Rectal Clinic of Orlando. He is board certified in both General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery. He is past president of the Florida Chapter ACS and the Woodward Society and is current ACS Governor representing Florida. Currently, he also holds the position of program director of the MIS program Orlando and is volunteer faculty for UF, FSU and UCF. He also volunteers medical care for Orange County and Shepherds Hope.

Dr. Gallagher is a practicing physician at the Colorectal Clinic of Orlando, the oldest colorectal practice and fellowship program in Orlando. His partners are Doctors Williamson, Ferrara, DeJesus, Mueller, Solomon and Karas. Dr. Gallagher feels that a successful surgical training program requires sharing his knowledge and experience in cutting edge technologies and research in surgery.

Dr. Gallagher has been married for 19 years to his wife Kristin who is a practicing psychologist in Maitland. They have three daughters. He is an active supporter of his daughters’ academics, running, dance and cheerleading. He enjoys physical fitness, kayaking and reading.
