Hill Rugh Keller & Main, P.L.

Chris Hill is the managing partner of Hill, Rugh, Keller & Main.  Chris received his engineering and law degrees from the University of Florida and has practiced in Central Florida for more than 25 years.  Chris practices in the areas of commercial and construction litigation.   Chris has used his engineering and construction background to his advantage in litigating technical subjects, in one example conducting what an appellate court characterized as a “withering” cross-examination of the opposing expert.  Chris and HRKM have litigated cases ranging from tractor-trailer crashes to radio station purchases to intellectual property claims.  His most recent trial involving the sale and civil theft of Asian antiques culminated with the jury asking if they could award more to his client than the client had requested.  Chris prides himself on using his trial skills to get his clients the best and most cost-effective solution to their problem, “One thing I know, our clients will never back down in a negotiation because their attorney isn’t ready, willing and able to go to trial.”

Honors:  Chris was voted “Best of the Bar” for commercial litigation in a survey by the Orlando Business Journal.  He was also voted as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” in 2014 and 2015 by U.S. News/Best Law Firms.  Chris has regularly been listed in Florida’s “Legal Elite” by Florida Trend and “Super Lawyers” by Thompson Reuters over the past 10 years.  In 2011, he was elected to the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocacy (ABOTA) based upon peer review of his trial skills.  Chris has also received an “AV” Preeminent Rating by Martindale-Hubbell.

Activities:  Chris is currently the Treasurer of the Central Florida ABOTA Chapter.  He is the past President of the Business Law Committee of the Orange County Bar Association, as well as the Central Florida Chapter of the Council for Litigation Management (CLM).  He is also active as a youth basketball coach.
